80 Day Obsession: A Dude’s Perspective + Sneak Peek Info!

I know, I know, I’ve probably been talking too much about 80 Day Obsession. Bear with me though, because you really want to be prepared to take on this challenge come January.

This 5-day 80 Day Obsession sneak peek that launched on December 20th is being called “A Little Obsessed” and I have to say, I AM PUMPED to share this incredible program with you! The best part of this is that it’s FREE, meaning you don’t need a Beachbody On Demand subscription to access it!

You’ll get to sample 5 days of workouts and 5 days of the program’s timed-nutrition meal plan.

Equipment needed for the 80 Day Obsession sneak peek:
  • A set of light/medium/heavy hand weights
  • Strength slides
  • A fitness mat for extra comfort
  • Resistance loops

The workouts in the sneak peek are less challenging and only 30 minutes in length (compared to the 45-60 minutes in the program). They’re designed to teach you the moves and help you get a better idea of the program.


In other really BIG news…

Phase 2 has come to an end and we are staring down the barrel of the last 5 weeks of our 80 Day Obsession journey. I swear that time is absolutely flying! I thought this was going to be a long and arduous process. In fact, it’s been none of that. I guess when you are simply invested in yourself, in results, and in the process, nothing phases you. You just want to keep working hard and sculpting your body like never before. Many of us in the Test Group are asking if we can go for Round 2. I’ll definitely be doing another round right alongside everyone in my Challenge Group after launch! (Fill out the form at the bottom of this page to join me!)

Because you are dying to know… in Phase 2, the scale barely moved but I dropped almost TWO pant sizes. I kid you not.

When I weighed myself this morning to turn in my homework for the Test Group, I chuckled. Two pounds lost during an additional four weeks of hardcore workouts and nutrition, but in a completely different body! I not only look strong, I AM STRONG. So yes, ladies, in order to get obsessed with this program you will need to ditch your obsession with the scale. It’s not telling you the truth!

In total so far, I have lost 15 pounds and 11.75 inches! I still want to get to the 140-pound mark, a personal goal of mine. I know I can do it!


80 Day Obsession: A Man’s Perspective

But enough about ME. I want you to know what Danny thinks of all this and HIS 80 Day Obsession journey. So we sat down and I interviewed him! These are his RAW and UNFILTERED opinions about the last 50 days getting obsessed with me!

ME: Prior to 80 Day Obsession, what kind of workouts did you do?

DANNY: I was bouncing around between Body Beast workouts, the Peloton, to my own home workouts. I was not following a specific program and mostly filling my workout “quota” for the day.

ME: Have you ever done a Beachbody program lead by a female trainer?

DANNY: Hmmm… now that you ask, I haven’t. I have done P90X workouts with Tony Horton and Body Beast with Sagi Kalev. Do I love Autumn? Yes. Have I completed any of her programs? I have not. Don’t tell her.

ME: When you received the email about being in a Test Group what was your initial thought?

DANNY: Oh shit.

ME: When you heard the program had a focus on ABS and ASS what did you think?

DANNY: Honestly, I wasn’t too happy. I immediately thought it would be a lot of cardio and I was going to get too skinny and lose my size. I also thought that it wouldn’t be “hardcore” or manly. Even though I was going to do it no matter what, I felt like I would not get the results I wanted.

ME: What did you think about using loops and sliders as equipment?

DANNY: I am used to lifting really heavy weights. So when I opened up the package and it had rubber loops and sliders, I was super skeptical. I immediately started doubting whether any guys would really do this program.

ME: Has that changed now and how?

DANNY: Well, yea. Autumn’s workouts are really creative and using the loops and sliders magnifies the work you do on your core and butt. You think it’s going to be easy and by the 10th rep, you are pleading for mercy. It’s HARD!

ME: What were your thoughts about the timed-nutrition plan?

DANNY: I had never followed a Beachbody nutrition plan until 80 Day Obsession. When I was a pro ball player, I worked with various trainers who taught us what to eat. I have mainly followed that my entire life. I also really enjoy eating out for lunch while I am working so having to bring food from home was definitely going to be a challenge for me. But thanks to my wife, I have followed the plan with very little issues. When I calculated what calorie bracket I would fall into, I landed in Plan F. It is A LOT of food and I don’t find it that difficult to follow. Once you get the timing down, it’s pretty easy actually.

ME: Are you doing any of the cooking?

DANNY: HAHA! No, you are.

ME: Do you love your wife for doing all your cooking?

DANNY: HA! I am very lucky and fortunate that my wife takes care of preparing my meals. But, I do help with the dishes.

ME: Now that you have completed two phases of the program, what can you share from a dude’s perspective?

DANNY: Don’t be skeptical about this program. It is the real deal. Yes, there are aspects of it that will push you out of your comfort zone, but just do it. I haven’t felt this “in shape” in a really long time. I feel like an athlete. While I have lost some of my size, I am lean and feel really healthy. The workouts are tough, they will challenge you, and you will love it.

ME: Would you recommend 80 Day Obsession to other men?

DANNY: Definitely. If you want to look and feel like an athlete, definitely do this program. But I will say that I would have loved to have a program like this when I was playing baseball. With the focus on the core, legs, and butt, it really can push your athletic ability to the next level. And perhaps even prevent injuries like I suffered. So yes, whatever your goal is—weight loss, cardiovascular fitness, or even to gain muscle, you can do it with 80 Day Obsession.

P.S. During this phase we’ll be doing a lot of traveling, but we WILL succeed!
